Well, the short answer: your life changes! Yet, that doesn’t seem satisfying enough. That doesn’t encapsulate all that occurs when one steps out in faith, saying “yes” to His promptings, His tugging at your heart.
I’ve thought and thought on how best to re-enter this world of blogging after taking a VERY long break. I kept running through all that has happened since March 2014, when I last blogged and couldn’t figure out how best to summarize my absence.
Then, it hit me. The best way to explain the silence, the blog going dark is.. I said “yes” to God. And everything changed from that moment.
No longer could I focus on putting to words all that was transpiring, sometimes, faster than I could keep up with, let alone, blog about. Some of it was painful as He stretched me and as with all growth, stinging and pain occurred. Not all of this season has been bad, though. In fact, it has been the most exhilarating 8 months of my life! Did difficulties arise? Yep. Did opposition come? Yep. Did criticism come? You betcha. Did I feel alone at times? Sure. Was it overwhelming at times? Kinda.
But you know what??? None of that matters. I was in, and still am, my sweet spot with God and, while that doesn’t mean my circumstances became sweet it just means that no matter what came my way, I walked confidently with Him remembering the promises He gave me when I said “yes”.
Now the God of peace…. equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. – Hebrews 13:21
So, I’m back. The blog is back. I want to begin to share my journey, my life – from my love of books to my struggles, here. Again. I want to encourage you to say Yes to Him. Even when it seems scary or daunting. Even when it seems as though you are the LAST person that should do what He is calling you to do! Do it! You will never regret it. I haven’t. Despite the journey so far not always being sweet or easy, it has been so, so worth it! If you feel His prompting, His tugging to step out of your comfort zone, to move into something that *you* think you’re not equipped for… do it! Let Him prove you wrong! He is trustworthy and He is good. Step out in faith, sister! Let Him equip you to carry out His will, for His glory!
